April and May have been criminally exciting months for me and
Gloria Ferris, my writing partner in our
Blair and Piermont crime fiction series.
1)
April 25/15:
We met with our Killer Authors’ Group: Pam Blance, Gloria Ferris, Liz
Lindsay, D.L. Houghton, and Donna Warner.
As always, we brainstormed plot ideas, drank a little wine, stuffed
ourselves with lunch and munchies, drank a little wine, and concocted social
media ideas and events.
2)
April 28/15: Three of our Killer Authors’ members, Gloria,
D.L. Houghton, and me attended Andrew Pyper’s book event held at the Waterloo,
Ontario Library. As with all his PR
appearances, Andrew fascinated his audience with readings from excerpts of his
latest thriller, The Damned, and sharing
ideas on how he devises suspenseful plots and interesting characters. http://www.andrewpyper.com
3)
April 11-15/15:
Gloria, D.L. Houghton, and I spent four days at the famous Fairmont Le
Château Frontenac
in beautiful Quebec City. Our room had a
breath-taking view of the St. Lawrence River and the Laurentian Mountains. It’s with good reason that this hotel is the
most highly photographed one in the world.
We were treated to a two-hour tour by the Director of Public Relations,
Marie-Claude Brousseau, due to the Château
being featured in the our second book in the Blair and Piermont crime fiction
series. The picture below is of Gloria
and me with the majestic hotel in the background.
4)
May 23/15:
Gloria and I were invited to Harrington Lane Farms' Open House where Gloria had two of her mystery novels available for purchase. Harrington Farms is located at 1268 Gore Road in Puslinch Township (south of Morriston) http://www.harringtonlanefarms.ca/. Thank you, Krista Harrington for hosting this book event.
